The Benefits of Mineral Cosmetics:

Mineral makeup is manufactured with minerals which are sterilized and pulverized into a very fine powder which is then mixed with a variety of natural inorganic colorings to produce a variety of colors.

What is so great about this type of make up is that it does not block the pores of the skin but instead allows the skin to breathe, mineral makeup is very appealing for those women with sensitive skin.

This is extremely beneficial for women who suffer with rosacea, dryness, acne or other skin ailments, utilizing mineral makeup permits them to take advantage of a skin-friendly product which will not exacerbate their problems.

The primary ingredients used in mineral makeup are, unlike most makeup, inorganic, which means that bacteria and microbes cannot live in the makeup and infect the skin. The fact that the ingredients are inorganic also means that no preservatives need be included and that the makeup will have a long shelf life, so long as reasonable care is taken to apply the makeup with clean brushes.

Mineral makeup also leaves the skin with a very natural radiant glow. The best mineral makeups contain a number of ingredients designed for the purpose of improving the well-being of the skin. These may include a broad spectrum of UVA and UVB sun protection, as well as zinc, magnesium and some anti-inflammatories. For women who complain of oily skin, mineral makeup can provide an excellent solution.

I hope you enjoy this deal as I just got a ton of good, natural mineral rich make up and make up brushes too!

8 Easy ways to Get and Keep Naturally Beautiful Skin

Summer is almost at its close and as we get back from our vacations and put the kids in school we need to also take time to care for our skin.

There are eight easy and great tips to make your skin look and feel superb!

1. Select moisturizers made with vegetable oils. Avoid mineral oil. Veggie oils like olive, sweet almond oil, corn, etc contain fatty acids which help to moisturize and soften the skin. Mineral oil is derived from petroleum and does not contain anything that helps to nourish the skin.

2. Look for herbs and herbal derivatives in your cosmetics. Herbs and their derivatives (essential oils, extracts, and infusions) contain natural chemicals which soothe tone and help condition the skin.

Two herbs which are especially useful are lavender and tea tree oils.

3. At least once a week, soak your feet in warm water and gently exfoliate dead sin with a pumice stone. Follow up by moisturizing your feet with a a natural foot oil or foot lotion.

4. Every week, soak in a tub of bath salts. I'm a huge fan of taking relaxing baths. Primarily dead sea salts are rich in minerals and help draw out impurities within the skin. Essentially they detox the largest organ of your body; your skin.

5. After showering, use a body oil or lotion made from veggie oils.

6. For blemish and dry skin prevention, moisturize your skin AM and PM with products that contain veggie oils. These contain fatty acids which help moisturize and protect your skin from minor irritations.

7. Buy toners made without rubbing alcohol or ethyl acohol. These alcohol based ingredients dry out and irritate the skin.

8. After every hand washing; moisturize your hands with a natural lotion that will help them remain soft and supple.

Back to School Tips: Help Your Child Deal with The Stress of the New School Year

Mid-August and September dawns the new school year and every year proves to be a stressful and challenging time for both children and their parents. Each year thousands of parents and children celebrate the first day of kindergarten or first grade; new preschools or child care settings; new classrooms and new teachers.

I can remember a particularly tragic time, after my family moved, where I cried and screamed bloody murder not to attend the new local, kindergarten classroom. It was traumatic and I can remember feeling scared, abandoned and uneasy about the unknown.

It therefore becomes key to make and create smooth transitions between home, programs and schools can help children feel good about themselves and teach them to trust other adults and children.

Separation anxiety, angst and fear of the classrooms causes many first day, first week and first month challenges that many parents have a hard time figuring out how to manage. Separation anxiety is often thought to only impact shy, timid, introverted children- but it can even take a toll on your outgoing and fearless youngster.

Luckily; there are a few great solutions I'd like to share with you that can minimize the stress both you and your child feel as you prepare for back to school season.

A product I highly recommend is Bach's Kids Rescue Remedy relief. It is a natural, homeopathic medicine that will help ease the tension, stress and anxiety that the first day and first week of school jitters produce.
in an alcohol-free formula for childrens times of stress and anxiety. Easy to use dropper. Natural, Safe, Non-Drowsy.

Children respond quickly to rescue remedy. Screaming children find sudden relief, shy and fearful children find courage, impatient and angry children find peace. Dosage for children and adults are the same. Monitoring your stress levels are just as important as watching your child and a dose of the rescue remedy for yourself may also help you ease up and relax through the process.

Bach's Kids Rescue Remedy is world famous for quickly restoring inner calm, control and focus helping your child manage daily stresses and get on with a happy and productive school year.

Helping children adapt to new situations can ease parents’ minds and give them a chance to become involved in their children's education.

  1. Be enthusiastic about the upcoming change. If you are excited and confident, your child will be, too.

  2. Prepare yourself. Take note of how your child reacts to separation. If possible, visit the new setting with your child. Introduce your child to the new teacher or early childhood professional in advance.

  3. Arrange a playdate with another child from the program, preferably one-on-one, so that your child will see a familiar face when she walks in.

  4. Start daily routines that will add to continuity. Let your child become involved with packing lunch or laying out clothes. Also, begin an earlier bedtime several weeks before.

  5. Put aside extra time, particularly on the first day, for chatting and commuting together. But remember not to prolong the good-bye. If the child whines or clings, staying will only make it harder.

  6. Always say good-bye to your child. Be firm, but friendly about separating. Never ridicule a child for crying. Instead, make supportive statements like, "it's hard to say good-bye."
In time, your child will easily adjust and find the new situation easy and happy.
